Anders Egehus, current CEO of Svitzer Australasia, will join us to talk about leadership around two central topics:

1) His leadership experience when he led an organisation through a large acquisition during 2007.
2) His experience on how keep innovation alive in a large corporate environment.

A bit about the speaker and the company:
Anders has over the last 3 years been running Svitzer Australasia – a tugboat company with revenues in excess of 200 million A$ and more than 1,000 employees. Svitzer operates more than 140 vessels and is the largest maritime employer in Australia. Svitzer acquired Adsteam in 2007 which was a top 50 company listed on the Australian stock exchange.
He has vast global experience having worked in a variety of settings – from Africa, India, Denmark, Australia and Korea. Anders has an executive MBA from Chicago Booth so those interested in hearing more about the school, join the talk. Anders has just been promoted and will be moving back to Denmark as the new global COO of Svitzer.
Svitzer globally earns more than 1 billion US dollars in revenue. Svitzer is part of AP Moller – Maersk group with annual revenues in excess of 60 billion US dollars.

This year, PitchFest will be run as a double feature with the iChallenge. iChallenge is a new event by the ASB that is a business pitch competition for high-school students. PitchFest is a business pitch competition, open to any UNSW student. It is also the launch event for the Peter Farrell Cup Challenge, UNSW’s signature business plan competition.
